The Legal Checklist for Purchasing an Independent Floor in New Delhi

Registry Details and Chain of Titles

Purchasing an independent floor in New Delhi requires establishing an unbroken chain of title. This means tracing the property ownership backwards for at least 30 years to ensure there are no encumbrances, disputes, or pending bank loans on the mother deed.

Mutation Certificates

Once the registry is complete, the property must be mutated in the municipal records. This crucial step updates the Delhi Jal Board, BSES, and MCD property tax records in your name. UVSP Buildcon's legal team handles this end-to-end for our South Delhi real estate clients.

Completion Certificates

Never take possession of a luxury builder floor without a valid Completion Certificate (CC) and Occupancy Certificate (OC). These documents certify that the building complies with the sanctioned master plan and is legally habitable.
